What a great setlist. I love the way RatDog is always changing arrangements and sounding better and better. Saw the amazing 3 night run at the Beacon last year, and this takes me back. Bob and the band are awesome! Thanks for the recording!

The day Franklins died
the first set was fire, the second set was disappointing, the highlight was a rippin Jack Straw. This is the night that Franklins tower died! The new araingment was wierd there were extra beats added in between lyrics and it just was not the triumphant uplifting song that i or my friends have grown to love.
First set was FIRE no doubt. That first set ended and I said "best set of RD I ever saw right there" I thought it was tight well played and upbeat. I would have liked them to come back a lil stronger w/ the acustic songs (maybe a bobbymcgee, me&uncle, elpaso even). Not gonna lie that place was snoozin unitl Jack Straw hit, from then on they continued the energy and definately ended on a high note. Two Djin is by far the best RD original out there and they tear that one up. Fun time at the Beacon as usualy. See yall next time.

...I was at this show and I have to say(as someone who first saw the GD 10-31-80 and has 250+ shows under his belt)that if any band anywhere can play better than this you'll have to prove it to me, because I don't believe it. One mistake as Bobby just flat out drops the ball on the 'bridge' sexion in Row Jimmy, but beyond that..I mean deep, trippy Darkstars in both sets, WRS..the Jack Straw in Set2, a simply incendiary Two Djinn. It's the best Ratdog Ive ever seen live or heard a recording of. This band gets better every tour and is ON FIRE right now. I believe that Garcia is looking on and smiling. Bravo Bobby....you done good kid!
